What are the map layers?

The list of layers, sources and legal info is here. Map layers are from:

  • EA: Environment Agency
  • NE: Natural England
  • LR: Land Registry
  • BGS: British Geological Survey
  • TW: Thames Water
  • MO: Met Office

The Flood Risk map layers include the EA's new/updated surface water and river/sea flood risk layers (released 28 Jan 2025).

Each layer is prefixed with the initials of the source organisation. If the PVFF has derived the data from another source, it is prefixed as PVFF/"Other Source".
